First Ultrasound Is Tomorrow!

Our first ultrasound is tomorrow! I can’t believe we’re finally here, and now that we are, I’m feeling so anxious again! All in all, I’m still feeling really awful which is encouraging, but I think it as more to do with this crazy heat wave we’ve had in combination with being pregnant, than pregnancy symptoms alone. It was 97 ° F  today and our air conditioning is still not working!

Okay, so here’s where I need to rant for a bit…

I had a guy here to troubleshoot and repair my system last week and he identified that our freon tank was rempty. I was furious because we had someone out here last fall and they identified that we needed a new coil. We replaced the coil in November and he ran a test and told us everything was perfect. So imagine my frustration when I turn on my AC last week for the first time since then and it didn’t work! And even more frustrating, the new repair man told me my tank was empty! He refilled the tank, and said all was good, or so I thought.  But then I go to turn on my AC again yesterday, and again, it didn’t work. So now, we have to wait 48 hours for the diagnostics he set up to show if there’s a leak in the system! Meanwhile it’s going to be another 97 ° F tomorrow. And as if this wasn’t all frustrating enough, he said there’s a good chance the leak could be in the coil! The coil we just had replaced in November! At least all of these repairs and parts are covered through our home warranty, but still!!! I work from home. I can’t just leave during the day to get some relief, and my poor kitties are dying too. Needless to say, I’ve had some pretty choice words for our home warranty customer service department over the past few days. At least we have the home warranty though, I can’t even imagine what all this would have cost if we didn’t have it. I have our real estate agent to thank for that! He purchased the first year for us as a house warming gift, and I’m so glad we renewed it. So far it has covered replacing the coil on our AC and several service calls, as well as service on our hot water tank, and we’ve only been in our house a little over a year!

Okay, rant over 🙂

On a happy note, I just wanted to say a very big thank you to A Calm Persistence for sending me this pin the other day. It was exactly what I needed 🙂

I really do believe dreams come true, but any extra prayers you all have are also welcome 🙂

Thank you so much in advance!

      1. I’d be dying of anxiety in your shoes, I’m sending a big hug. But I have a really good feeling about this baby. Prayers streaming…

I came home today but it was stinkin’ hot! I rented a studio with no a/c so I hear your anguish although I wasn’t pregnant which would make it so much worse. Hope its resolved for you and Arun soon

        1. Thanks hon! Yeah, this weather is a bit much right now. Glad you got out of here for a bit! Hopefully it will be cooler when you return! Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers <3

  1. I am so excited and hopeful for your BIG day tomorrow! I am praying for you and wanted to remind you of the verse Psalm 112:7 which says, He will fear no bad news, his heart is steadfast trusting in the Lord. xo

  2. I am pulling for you guys with all my heart. I hope more than anything for you to get wonderful news tomorrow, will be thinking of you throughout the day.

  3. I’m praying for your ultrasound tomorrow morning and looking forward to hearing how the baby is doing. I’m so sorry about your air conditioning – that is just horrible. We live in Texas and the few times in my life when the air conditioning has gone out, we’ve always had to leave to stay somewhere else because it just gets way too hot here. During the summer, to save money, I turn our air up to 80 degrees during the day and it is horrible. I have to chug ice water all day long to deal with it. Ugh, so not looking forward to this summer heat 🙁

  4. I saw this picture pop up in my reader and it made me smile. I was on Pinterest so late the one night, came across that pin and automatically thought I should send it to you. Dreams do come true. I’ve been thinking a lot about how scared you must be and I just want you to know I really do think your US will be wonderful. Never underestimate the power of prayer. You have a lot of women praying for you. 🙂

  5. So many prayers, lovely lady, all I can send! I’ll be thinking of you and your husband today and thinking of a good strong heartbeat for the little one!! Hugs, honey!!!

  6. So exciting!!!! Btw… at least you NEED air conditioning! It’s still too cold where I live (Canada) to even consider it. Wanna house swap? 🙂

    1. Haha. Yes! Can we? My family are all in Canada and they keep telling me to stop whining, but it’s really awful! I grew up in Canada, I’m not used to this!

    1. Thanks! We just left the doctor’s office! It was great news so far. Baby is measuring 2 days ahead of schedule at 6 weeks 5 days! I just read your post. We’re the same 🙂 I’m sooo happy all is good with your little one too! I have a few errands to run but will update my blog soon 🙂

  7. Yay! Just jumped on to check how you were doing and I am so freakin’ happy to see this fantastic news. I’m incredibly excited and hopeful for you guys and this little bug you’re baking!
